We’ve all been surfing the net from time to time and came across a photo that we decided couldn’t be real.
We look at it and we look at it and we think we’ve cracked the code for where the photoshoot is taking place. The fact is, there are some photos that certainly look fake, but they are actually 100% real. These photos will make you stand up and notice how strange our world can be when it really tries.
Take a look at these 10 photos that seem fake but are totally real and let us know what you think.
1. These Chinese fishermen
While this looks like a very realistic oil painting, it is actually two men fishing on Lake Chaohu in China, which is full of algae. A man’s paddle, which has taken on a determined brush-like appearance, helps to feel that it is false but it is not.
2. This optical illusion
While this looks like a balloon of grass, it is actually totally flat. This design was made outside of the Paris city hall and will require a little attention because you will see how it was made.
3. This black and white santa
While this looks like a combination of a couple of photos, this image was actually achieved by having the woman put on makeup and color her coat to have a black and white theme. Look closely at her neck and you can see a pink spot where she rubbed in makeup.
4. This strange electric pole
This stick was devastated by a fire in Russia. The pole is not floating in the air, but is being supported by power lines that it is still connected to.
5. This stranded cruise ship
While it looks like someone was having a bit of Photoshop fun, the ship is actually sitting on that cliff. This is also not a situation where a ship was stranded. It is actually a luxury hotel made to look like a ship in South Korea.
6. This haunting scene
While this looks like there is some kind of monster converging on the happy beachgoers, in fact it is a bunch of algae that can be seen on the oncoming wave.
7. This strange forest
This is known as the crooked forest in West Pomerania, Poland. The forest has more than 400 bent pine trees.
8. This flying ship
While this seems false because the boat appears to be floating on water, the reality is that it is simply in some of the clearest water you have ever seen. Due to this clear water, the boat appears to be in the air.
9. This sump hole
This looks like photoshop, but it really is a sump hole that was formed in 2010 in Guatemala City. The hole was 60 feet wide and 200 feet deep.
10. This sandstorm in Australia
It turns out that what looks like a beer wave heading towards the shore is actually a gigantic sandstorm. We’re thinking that people in Australia who are in the way of this thing are going to want a few chills after it happens.
